>Kotetsu’s first name was decided before his Hero name, so there was a time when Katsura was trying to design a “tiger-like” character, even though the Hero name was still “Mr. Busty” at that point

>Katsura and Satou often clashed about how old Kotetsu is supposed to look; Katsura wanted him older, Satou younger

>Kotetsu’s design (both his face and his Hero look) gave Katsura much trouble; the other characters’ design process was much smoother (Lunatic’s and Agnes’ initial designs in particular look almost the same as their final designs) 

>at first, Agnes’ name was meant to be “Angela”

>Ivan wears long bangs because he is shy, and thus he’s hiding from the world this way 

>Barnaby’s main image was also decided very early; even the earliest concept sketches show him bespectacled and stern, with fine features and roughly shoulder-length light hair 

>Barnaby’s suit also had its trademark “ears” since the very beginning; at first Katsura also wanted to put the bunny symbol on the helmet, but Satou called it lame and forbid it
